In designing this private residence in Pali Hill, Mumbai, our goal was to infuse the client ideas and functionality that presented their connection as a family and to the environment. Challenging the typical layout of the apartment, by repositioning areas of kitchen and kids bedroom, to make it work for the clients as per their lifestyle, was of utmost importance. This sort of ideology has been cultivated to this particular family who is young and have twins. A warm, neutral material palette is used throughout the house, along with their grown interest in art, which characterizes this home. Collaborating with local artisans and workshops, to give a platform and to form a connection with clients, not only inspire them but also adds the aspirational value of the home. The big windows allow as much as natural light as possible making a seamless connection with the outdoors in a homely way.
